CUKC Accreditation Remains Solid For D.C. Program

Cleveland University-Kansas City (CUKC) is pleased to share the positive accreditation status for its Doctor of Chiropractic degree program. In a communication received Jan. 23, 2023, from Dr. Kristina Petrocco-Napuli, Chair of the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE), the Council reaffirmed that the CUKC Doctor of Chiropractic program meets the standards for accreditation. As part of the normal eight-year CCE accreditation cycle, the next interim site visit for CUKC has been scheduled for Fall 2025, and the next comprehensive site visit will be in Fall 2029.

In addition to Dr. Jon Wilson, dean of the College of Chiropractic, special acknowledgment goes to Dr. D’sjon Thomas, assistant dean of clinical education, Dr. Shelby Waldman, director of clinical operations, and Dr. Steve Agocs, assistant dean of chiropractic education, for their efforts on this process. The CUKC College of Chiropractic has held accreditation with the CCE since 1982.

Cleveland University-Kansas City has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), the regional accreditation agency, since 1984, and is in the midst of collecting the required documentation and reports in preparation for the next HLC comprehensive evaluation in November 2024.
