The Kansas Department of Agriculture has announced that registration is now open for the 2025 Kansas Governor’s Summit on Agricultural Growth. The event will take place on Thursday, August 14, at the K-State Alumni Center in Manhattan. This year marks the 10th annual summit and will include breakout sessions focusing on research and value-added opportunities within agricultural sectors.
Tanner Ehmke of CoBank, a Kansas native and K-State alumnus, is set to deliver the keynote address. He will discuss economic challenges facing Kansas agriculture.
This year's schedule differs from previous events, with the summit occurring in the afternoon following a light lunch. A networking event will follow the summit instead of taking place the evening before.
Attendance at the Ag Growth Summit is free due to sponsor support. However, attendees are encouraged to register by August 1 to ensure meal availability. Walk-ins will be accepted if space permits. Registration details and an agenda are available at www.agriculture.ks.gov/Summit.
The event welcomes farmers, ranchers, agribusiness owners, and industry professionals committed to agricultural growth in Kansas. For further inquiries about the summit, contact Auburn Wassberg at Auburn.Wassberg@ks.gov or call 785-564-6799.
