Ahead of the House Committee on Taxation's review of SB 169, a proposal to implement a flat tax in Kansas, NFIB State Director Dan Murray called on legislators to offer tax relief for small business owners.

"Our small business owners face a host of challenges, from the persistent worker shortage to rising prices. Tax relief would go a long way in shoring up our state's recovery and provide meaningful relief for small business owners," said Murray. "Creating a flat tax would unleash economic growth, which means more jobs, higher wages, and greater opportunity for hardworking Kansans. We'll continue to work with lawmakers to make tax relief a reality this legislative session."

NFIB Kansas will host Small Business Day at the Capitol tomorrow.
