The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has published its biennial voting record for Kansas' 2023-2024 legislative session. This document evaluates lawmakers based on their votes on 11 key issues, including workers’ compensation reform and income tax cuts.

According to the NFIB, 86 legislators achieved a perfect score of 100%. Among them are 20 members from the Senate and 66 from the House of Representatives. "Our State Legislature considers thousands of issues with numerous influences," said NFIB State Director Dan Murray. "It’s critically important that lawmakers take the time to understand the issues Main Street faces."

Murray emphasized the ongoing challenges posed by inflation for small business owners and consumers. He expressed gratitude towards those lawmakers who supported tax cuts, workers’ compensation reforms, and opportunities for Kansans. The NFIB Voting Record is not exhaustive in terms of every consideration made by legislators when voting but focuses on issues significant to small business owners.

For those interested in more details, a complete copy of the voting record is available through the NFIB.
