As the Kansas Legislature begins its session, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has called on lawmakers to prioritize small business interests. NFIB State Director Dan Murray released a statement emphasizing the importance of small businesses to the state's economy.
"As the engine that drives Kansas’s economy, small businesses are excited to welcome the Legislature back to Topeka," said Murray. He highlighted the need for legislative action to address challenges faced by Main Street and stabilize economic recovery. "There, lawmakers can address the challenges Main Street is facing and stabilize our economic recovery."
Murray expressed optimism about collaborating with legislators to foster an environment where small businesses can thrive. "We look forward to working with the Legislature to ensure our small businesses can grow and create good-paying jobs for Kansas families," he added.
