U.S. Senator from Kansas, Roger Marshall, who has just recently taken his oath days before the joint session, has likewise issued his stand condemning the Capitol breach.

The Senator who has also announced his plans to object the Electoral College vote, has mentioned that he is strongly dismayed over the Wednesday event at the national capital.

“The freedom of speech and the freedom of protest are provided in our Constitution,” Sen. Marshall said in a statement. “I share the frustration many Americans have over the Presidential Election; however, what happened at the U.S. Capitol today is unreasonable and unacceptable and I condemn it at the highest level. America needs to know that we will not be deterred by violence. I am thankful for the heroic law enforcement who are working feverishly to restore order.”

He later tweeted, “We need to get back to the Chamber to finish our work - TONIGHT.”

In a morning news radio interview prior to the electoral college process, Marshall had asked prayers for the country, for the right discernment of the leaders, and the proceedings.

Sen. Marshall was decisive on objecting to the electoral vote and has said that he is fighting for the current and future generations to regain confidence in the election process.
