The Society of Hispanic Engineers (SHPE), a student organization at Wichita State University, is hosting a free event, Noche de Ciencias (Night of Science), for Hispanic parents and Wichita Public Schools students. The event will be from 4:30 to 6:45 p.m. Thursday, March 30 at North High School.

Food and drinks will be served, and attendees will have the opportunity to participate in activities designed to introduce different types of education and career opportunities in STEM fields. Attendees will also meet and interact with Hispanic students from the College of Engineering.

Noche de Ciencias is open to Hispanic families with children in Wichita Public Schools and the media. In addition to the SHPE student organization, Noche de Ciencias is sponsored by WSU Tech, Spirit Aerosystems and WSU.
