U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-Kansas), continued his 100-stop tour across Kansas this week, visiting several community organizations and businesses in Eastern and Central Kansas. Stops included Envision National Headquarters, Meals on Wheels, Charlotte Pipe and Foundry, the Veterans Affairs Center in Leavenworth, and the bicentennial celebration of Council Grove.

During his visit to Envision in Wichita, Senator Marshall learned about the organization's work supporting people who are blind or visually impaired. The visit emphasized Envision’s contributions to workforce development, innovation, advocacy efforts, and its impact on veterans and underserved groups. According to the senator’s office, “Senator Marshall’s engagement underscored his commitment to supporting inclusive employment and accessibility initiatives across Kansas.”

Senator Marshall also joined a Meals on Wheels route in Wichita to deliver meals to seniors. The program provides hot meals for home-bound older adults with support from funding under the Older Americans Act. The senator’s participation highlighted ongoing efforts to ensure proper nutrition for seniors in the state.

In Maize, Senator Marshall attended the grand opening of Charlotte Pipe and Foundry’s new $80 million manufacturing facility. The plant will produce PVC pipes used nationwide for plumbing and irrigation needs. “Senator Marshall highlighted this as a major win for Kansas manufacturing and infrastructure,” according to information provided by his office.

At the Leavenworth Veterans Affairs Center, Senator Marshall toured renovated facilities including a women’s clinic, emergency department, and eye care clinic. He discussed future VA infrastructure projects planned for Eastern Kansas.

The tour also included a stop at Council Grove's bicentennial celebration where Senator Marshall spoke with residents about the town’s history.
